DAY SEVENTY-SIX

Spending yet another day at the studio working on this project. It’s taking over my liiiiiiiiife. It does, however, lead to good reasons to buy food. Yummy. Those family-owned, almost-dumpy, food places are usually the best! HAHA!

Breakfast: Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal
Lunch: Lamb & Beef Gyro with Tzatziki, Lettuce, Mushrooms, Hot Peppers and Tomatoes
Dinner: Pancake-battered Fried Chicken with Rice and Gravy
Dessert: Oreo Cheesecake with Chocolate Cheesecake Ice Cream
Look: Blue & Grey Sweater / Blue & Grey Plaid Hunter Hat

my apologies!

Well, this sucks.

I’m sorry for being dead for over two weeks. The school term is nearing the end and everything is kicking into high gear…Can we say two hours of sleep this morning? Fun stuff. It’s the first time in a while I have room to breathe, so prepare for spammage. It won’t be as comprehensive as usual since I clearly have forgotten the non-documented items. Again, my apologies.

Also, thanks to all the new followers, (sorry I’ve been pretty crappy). I assume they found me from other food sites that decided to accept my submissions :)

DAY SEVENTY-FIVE

The weekend was definitely not a good one. With the looming feeling of upcoming due dates, it was basically work, work, work, and if possible, sleep. However, one must always make some time for food—even if it’s not every single meal. Also, if you’re wondering about all the bruschetta, it’s because the baguette was on sale when I went to the grocery store…LOL!

Also, so was cream cheese, so my housemate and I made Oreo Cheesecake. I don’t remember other things I ate this day…sooo…

Brunch: Sausages with Bruschetta
‘Lunner’:
Nachos with Chicken, Nacho cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Salsa, Red Cabbage
Dessert/Misc:
Oreo Cheesecake

DAY SEVENTY-FOUR

Went grocery shopping today. Probably the last for the term, since I’m gonna be home for most of the exam period, with my exams being so spread apart. This should last until next term!

Breakfast: Peanut Butter and Nutella on Toast
Dinner: Grilled Portabello Mushrooms with Bruschetta and Iceberg Mix Salad

DAY SEVENTY-THREE

I had Cookie Crisp for the first time! They don’t have it here in Canada and when my grandparents went to visit relatives in the States, I asked them to bring back a bunch of USA-only cereals. AWESOME!

Also, my housemate put up her mini little Christmas Tree! Winter break’s coming!!

Breakfast: Cookie Crisp
Lunch: Cheese Tortellini with Mushroom & Tomato Sauce
Dinner: Beef and Vegetable Stir-fry with Soba and Rice
Look: Blue, Purple and Orange Plaid

DAY SEVENTY-TWO

Leftovers for dinner. I should cook in smaller quantities. LOL

Breakfast: Grapes and Toast with Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese
Dinner: Leftover Soup from last night
Look: Navy, Brown and Beige Plaid Shirt with Hood

DAY SEVENTY-ONE

There was a lot of leftover potato salad so I had that again for lunch. As tasty as food is, I’m not too keen on leftovers. I get bored with food easily. I like to eat different things all the time, but of course it’s a little hard to achieve with a budget.

I also got rice from home. Now I’m scared I’m gonna devour it everytime I crave rice…

Lunch: Grilled Cheese (Jalapeno Havarti) with Lettuce, Tomato and Corned Beef on Rye, and Leftover Potato Salad
Dinner: ‘Sinigang’ (Filipino Tamarind Soup), with Bok Choy, Pork, Green Beans, Cabbage and Rice
Look: Red Long Sleeve / Black Cardigan / Grey Skinnies

DAYS SIXTY-EIGHT, SIXTY-NINE & SEVENTY

I went home for the weekend…and as we know, nothing productive happens at home—this includes taking pictures of food. So let’s just skip to Monday.

Dinner: Chicken Fingers & Roasted Potato Salad + Coleslaw Hybrid
Look: Blue & White Vertical-Striped Shirt / Black & Blue Striped Zipped Hoodie

DAY SIXTY-SEVEN

It was one of my housemate’s birthday so we made him a cake! ‘Cuz you know, already having a mini loaf for dessert at lunch isn’t enough. LOL Also we made A LOT of sushi rice, but it came out too wet, so I suggested the idea of frying it up like they do at restaurants and we made Sushi Pizzas. Also, one of my housemates had defrosted beef so we went and made Beef Teriyaki too.

Lunch:
Vegetable Dumblings with Stir-fried Soba and Cabbage
Dinner: Smoked Salmon Sushi Pizza and Beef Teriyaki
Dessert/Misc: Apple Custard Mini Loaf Cake / Upside-down Apple Cake

DAY SIXTY-SIX

Wednesday, my least favourite day. Ecology means going out into the woods and getting horribly dirty. I had to survive the day with mud all over my pants. My shoes and socks were wet from the muddy waters too. Luckily I brought an extra pair of both.

For lunch, a friend and I decided to go for Pho since spending 3ish hours in the freezing cold made us crave something warm. Not to mention those spring rolls…mmm. We only had an hour and a half until our next class though. We decided to go nonetheless. Delicious, but a bad decision—we were over 30 minutes late.

Dinner…As well all know dinner is not going to be extravagant (or ‘home-made’) tonight, but it was still yummy. Thank you semi-prepared meals.

Breakfast:
Peanut Butter on Wheat & Honey Toast
Lunch: Vietnamese Vegetarian Spring Rolls and Beef & Brisket Pho
Dinner: Iceberg Mix with Raspberry Vinaigrette / Three-Cheese (Parmesan, Ricotta & Havarti) Chicken Parmesan on Tortellini with Tomato & Mushroom Sauce
Dessert/Misc:
‘Turon’ (Filipino Dessert/Snack; Plantains sprinkled with sugar and wrapped in spring roll wrappers, then fried)
Look:

  • Red, Cream & Navy Plaid Tartan Shirt
  • White and Blue Graphic Tee
